Team ABC overnight camps offer authentic outdoor climbing experiences for Team ABC athletes. With a focus on furthering team development and deepening team camaraderie, these climbing experiences strengthen individual climbers, team bonds and friendships.
Led by Team ABC coaches and AMGA certified guides the extended weekend overnight camps are a good fit for Team ABC athletes looking to deepen their understanding of sport climbing, learn about climbing culture, practice Leave No Trace ethics, and hang with teammates in an inspiring climbing environment.

Rifle Overnight Camp – September 28th – 30th
Team ABC Rifle Overnight camps explore the iconic limestone sport climbing of Rifle Mountain Park on the Western Slope of Colorado. This is a long weekend overnight camp for Team ABC athletes looking to climb challenging overhanging limestone routes in one of the hardest sport climbing destinations in the county.
Overnight accommodations will be through AirBnB or similar short-term rental.
Shelf Road Overnight Camp – November 23rd – 25th
Shelf Road, nestled in the rugged landscapes of Colorado, is renowned among rock climbers for its unique limestone cliffs and world-class sport climbing routes. Located near the town of Cañon City, this climbing area offers a variety of routes suitable for climbers of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned pros.
The cliffs at Shelf Road feature a distinctive shelf-like formation, hence its name, providing challenging overhangs, pockets, and crimps that test climbers’ technique and endurance. The routes often require technical footwork and thoughtful movement, with plenty of opportunities for both face climbing and crack climbing enthusiasts.
We will be staying at an Airbnb in Cañon City to avoid cold evenings.
