Exploratory Teams

The purpose of ABC’s Rock Stars program is to expand upon the base which was established in Hot Shots by introducing climbing specific skills and beginning athlete development. Rock Stars athletes work on the basic skills of climbing and work toward All Stars or Super Stars level teams. Injury prevention, stretching, and conditioning are included as part of the ABC Rock Stars method.

Rock Stars team climbers train on a schedule of four hours per week on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays both in our facility throughout the year and also outdoors seasonally. Gym climbers, Competitive climbers, and Outdoor climbers are encouraged and supported to discover and explore a passionate path toward their favorite climbing disciplines.

Rock Stars have additional opportunities to adventure locally, nationally, and internationally with our Team ABC Boulder outdoor program and outdoor guides.

Team ABC Boulder All Stars athletes begin working on and honing specific climbing skills. Athletes work on strength, flexibility, and teamwork while beginning early stage leadership training. All Stars benefit from climbing-specific stretching, conditioning, yoga, visualization and mental preparedness. They also benefit from guest coaches including professional climbers and teammates from Team ABC Boulder Elite.

The Team ABC Boulder All Stars may be the perfect team for the talented climber that wants a lot of choices. Designed to continuously develop and balance a passion for all disciplines of rock climbing while having fun… whether pursuing gym climbing, training for competitions or climbing outside. In addition to climbing-specific techniques, athletes work together to improve flexibility, strength and conditioning of the body and mind.

All Stars team climbers train for four hours per week on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays both in our facility throughout the year and also outdoors seasonally. Team ABC Boulder Junior Varsity is a traveling select team of talented athletes that are dedicated to climbing and have a strong desire to compete locally, regionally and nationally. These athletes work together as a team, in a unified effort, to refine individual technique, movement, strength and conditioning. With an emphasis on fun, discipline and hard work, the Junior Varsity climber grows mentally and physically.

Junior Varsity athletes execute a consistent and aggressive training plan throughout the competition season. Balancing climbing skills with life skills is a challenge met with the grace, poise, intelligence and determination of each Junior Varsity athlete. Team ABC Boulder Junior Varsity climbers are amongst the most talented and decorated young athletes in the country, developing into possible US Team members and future National, Continental, and World Champion climbers.

Team ABC Boulder Junior Varsity is proudly sponsored by companies that proudly support youth climbers and youth climbing.

Junior Varsity athletes may occasionally train at our local Partner Facilities occasionally throughout the season: The Spot Bouldering Gym, Movement Climbing + Fitness, Longmont Climbing Collective, and more.
